Hello, I want to write things
Hello,
I want to write things, but I am still not sure how or if I want to share them with other people.
I have been a songwriter for the last ten years, but through the various guises and personas I have gone under I have not found the right way to do that.
I have written all of my life. As a youth they were science fiction, fantasy stories. One notable story involved me and my elementary school friends surviving and defending against an alien invasion. I remember it being a quite popular serial in the 3rd or 4th grade.
In middle school I followed the lead of a friend's older brother and started a geocities web site, where I wrote 'humor' articles, excoriating the things I hated about the people I went to school with. This actually came to the attention of parents and the school. This resulted in me losing my access to the Internet for a few months, and awkward meetings with the principal where I cried.
In high school I started a 'log' (independently because I did not want to join a 'service'), and then a livejournal. I wrote what I thought were insightful and interesting accounts of my teenage misadventures in love, friendship, and the like. Again, I feel like some sort of a following grew out of this.
In college, as many people do, I started a new persona. At times I did post back on what happened, but sporadically, and when I felt the past coming in on me.
Right here....I have purposefully left out a lot.
Describing my music would be more than this length.
I received an amount of attention that I could function with while in school.
Now that I am a 25 year old individual, I have found that Twitter, and in most cases, Twitter through Facebook, does not at all satisfy my creative impulses.
So I think I am going to try to write in longform ( from the perspective of our age) on this blog..l
